Toyota's 2026 Electric Lineup: bZ vs bZ Woodland vs C-HR

For years, Toyota's electric story was a single model. That changed for 2026. Toyota now sells three distinct battery-electric SUVs, the bZ, the bZ Woodland, and the all-new C-HR, and each one is aimed at a different kind of driver. Here is how they differ, and how to figure out which one fits the way you actually drive around Glendora and the San Gabriel Valley.

Meet the 2026 Toyota electric lineup

Toyota now offers three battery-electric vehicles, and they no longer overlap. The bZ is the mainstream everyday SUV, the bZ Woodland is the rugged, outdoor-focused version, and the C-HR is the smaller, sportier one. All three are true EVs with no gas engine, and all three use the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, which means access to the Tesla Supercharger network along with other public chargers.

2026 Toyota bZ: the everyday electric SUV

The bZ is the vehicle many people still know as the bZ4X. For 2026 Toyota renamed it to simply "bZ" and gave it a major refresh, with more efficient motors, more power, and better charging. It delivers up to an EPA-estimated 314 miles of range in its most efficient form and starts around $34,900, which makes it the most accessible way into a Toyota EV. It is the right pick for daily commuting, errands, and family duty, with front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive.

2026 Toyota bZ Woodland: the rugged one

The bZ Woodland is Toyota's first rugged addition to the electric lineup. It comes standard with all-wheel drive, produces a combined 375 horsepower, and offers up to an estimated 260 miles of range. It adds 8.3 inches of ground clearance, a 3,500-pound towing capacity, and available all-terrain tires, with a starting price around $45,300. If your weekends involve gear, trails, or towing toward the mountains, this is the one built for it.

2026 Toyota C-HR: the sporty compact

The C-HR name is back, and this time it is all-electric. The 2026 C-HR is a compact, coupe-like crossover with standard dual-motor all-wheel drive, a strong 338 horsepower, and up to an estimated 287 miles of range. It is the smallest and most agile of the three, which makes it a natural fit for tighter city driving and easier parking, without giving up Toyota practicality.

Which electric Toyota is right for you

The choice comes down to how you drive. If you want the best value and the most usable everyday range, start with the bZ. If you want all-wheel-drive capability, more power, and the ability to tow toward Angeles National Forest or the coast, look at the bZ Woodland. If you want a smaller, sportier EV that is easy to live with in traffic and simple to park in town, the C-HR is the one. For most Glendora and San Gabriel Valley commuters, the bZ is the sensible starting point, with the Woodland and C-HR covering the more rugged and more compact ends of the range.
